Something about this lens turns into a piece of art, maybe it is because everything is out of focus and you only see the gorgeous bokeh and lense flare. Like an old school Russian lens it has tons of CA and distortion and the most beautiful lens flare I have ever seen. The almond shaped bokeh is gorgeous albeit busy and at f/0.95 the depth of field is shallow like the crescent moon which will drive your focus puller mad, or all your shots blury. So much light comes in that at decently noiseless ISO you can shoot night life.

Cannot believe the amazing quality you get with this lens. Super sharp even wide open at 1.8f. Its construction is all metal and extremely durable. This does make it heavier, but I like this in comparison to a lens that I have to baby. I can use this daily and not worry. The value is awesome and I look forward to purchasing more Brightin Star lenses!

Would not hesitate to purchase this lens if you need something in this focal range, but don't want to spend a lot. It's every bit as good, sharp, clear as any lens I've shot. Transfered well to Lightroom and no problem with the edits. The 55 seems just a bit long, but if you're looking for something for outdoors and distance it's perfect. I produce youtube videos, and featured this lens on an afternoon drive to an old abandoned house, with excellent results. I also like using highlight peaking on my Canon RP with this lens. It's a fun one and well worth the cheap cost, not a cheap quality.
